Welcome to Shoup Woodworks

I grew up in the Houston Heights long before the modern redevelopment, and I built my very first project at age 11. I've been hooked on the craft ever since. Today Shoup Woodworks is my custom shop, and everything that leaves it is designed around the family who'll use it and built by my own two hands.

Most of my work starts with a conversation. Maybe you need a dining table that seats the whole crew at Thanksgiving, a media cabinet that actually fits your wall, or a cutting board with your family name on it. You tell me what you're picturing, and I'll tell you honestly how I'd build it.

I choose the wood and finish for each piece based on how it will be used and the look you want, and I'm glad to walk you through the options before we start.
